What the West of England needs to do now

In 2019 Zero West’s Tom Stedall worked on a zero carbon scenario for the West of England region.
Since then, Chris Goodall has published his excellent book “What We Need To Do Now“, which details a range of decarbonisation strategies in different sectors.
The book provides some interesting perspectives on decarbonisation pathways, and a key take-away is Chris Goodall’s belief that we need ten times more renewables than we currently have. This is something we can concretely work towards at a local level.
Tom’s latest blog reflects on his earlier zero carbon scenario work in the light of both Goodall’s book and the rapidly developing global situation.
